About MomBlog

MomBlog.co.uk is a UK parenting site for real family life.

Not the polished version where everyone is smiling in matching jumpers, the lunchboxes look sponsored, and nobody has ever cried in the car after the school run.

The real version.

The version with tired mornings, toddler negotiations, baby sleep searches at 2am, school emails, family money stress, relationship strain, co-parenting messages, SEN paperwork, packed lunch panic, mum guilt, burnout, and the quiet thought of: “Am I the only one finding this so hard?”

You are not.

MomBlog was created to be a warm, practical and emotionally honest space for mums, mothers, carers and parents across the UK. We cover everyday parenting topics like pregnancy, babies, toddlers, school-age children, teenagers, food, family travel, money, reviews and home life.

We also cover the harder subjects that many parenting sites either avoid or turn into drama: affairs, betrayal, separation, divorce, co-parenting, family court stress, emotional burnout, loneliness, identity loss, parenting after trauma, domestic abuse, and raising neurodivergent children.

Our aim is not to tell anyone how to be a perfect mum.

Perfect parenting is not real life.

Our aim is to help you find the next sensible step, feel less alone, and get information that is useful, calm and grounded.

Who writes MomBlog?

MomBlog is edited by Sam Morgan, a UK parenting writer and editor using a pen name for family privacy.

Sam has a background in digital publishing, SEO, family content and long-form editorial planning. MomBlog is built with the same care you would expect from a real parenting magazine: useful topics, clear structure, proper sourcing where needed, and a strong preference for honesty over polished nonsense.

Where articles include personal experience, reader stories or guest contributions, they will be clearly labelled. We do not pretend to have lived experiences we have not had, and we do not invent motherhood stories for the sake of making an article feel more emotional.

Some pieces are practical guides. Some are editorial explainers. Some are product reviews. Some are carefully framed support articles for people going through painful family situations.

What they all have in common is the same promise: no judgement, no fake perfection, and no pretending family life is simple when it is not.

Our approach to sensitive topics

Some parenting topics need more care than others.

When we cover subjects such as mental health, pregnancy, domestic abuse, coercive control, child safeguarding, family court, legal issues, medical concerns or financial pressure, our articles are written as general information and support only.

They are not a replacement for a GP, midwife, health visitor, therapist, solicitor, emergency service, safeguarding professional or specialist support organisation.

Where appropriate, we aim to signpost reputable UK sources such as the NHS, GOV.UK, Cafcass, Citizens Advice, NSPCC, Mind, Relate, Family Lives, Women’s Aid and Refuge.

If you or your children are in immediate danger, call 999.

Why MomBlog exists

Because parenting advice often lives at two extremes.

At one end, there is the glossy version of motherhood where everything is beautiful, beige and suspiciously tidy.

At the other, there is internet chaos: judgement, outrage, scary forums, vague advice and people making very confident claims about situations they do not understand.

MomBlog sits somewhere calmer.

We believe mums and parents deserve content that says:

“This is hard. Here is what might help. Here is what to think about next. Here is where to get proper support if you need it.”

No shame. No panic. No pretending.

Just real parenting support for real family life.
